Today, I'm posting an exegesis paper I wrote for Dr. Pierce's Introduction to the Old Testament I last summer.
This paper is exegetical in nature and reflects many of my thoughts concerning the original author's intentions regarding Genesis 3.
Any essay is only a snapshot in time and merely reflects the thinking of its author at that particular point. Having said that, my thinking over the past year has significantly evolved in terms of the first 11 chapters of Genesis. What I may advocate in this paper may not reflect my all my current thoughts on the subject. Nevertheless, I think most of the material holds up fairly well and deserves some consideration by those interested in the subject.
